Here in Estes Park, your adventure starts with us at Estes Park ATV Rentals. Our unguided excursions through the backcountry of the Rocky Mountains. We provide worry-free ATV and UTV rentals in Colorado. Before renting with us you may wonder what’s the difference between ATV and UTV? While a UTV and an ATV share many things in common, they are also very different vehicles and are intended for different things. Today we’ll go into more detail so you’ll know which one is truly right for you.
An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is an off-road intended for use as a recreational, single-rider, transportation over rough terrain vehicle. While a utility task vehicle (UTV) is also intended for rough terrain, UTVs are also known as side-by-sides because it has a cab that allows two people to sit next to each other in it.
There are also differences between the steering in an ATV and UTV. While you’re driving an ATV, you will steer using a handlebar system, however with a UTV, you will be steering using a steering wheel system. UTV steering system is the same as that of a car or truck.
