Thinking of unique date ideas can be more stressful than actually asking the person out. You struggle trying to be fun and adventurous without overdoing it, and you definitely don’t want to fall back on the typical movie and dinner. Day dates are a great way to get to know the person you are with, without the added pressure that nighttime dates can sometimes bring. A four wheeler rental in the beautiful Colorado mountains offers the excitement and adventure you want, and because you are benefiting from an unguided tour, you are able to make the day as easygoing or challenging as you want.
Preparing for a Day Date on Our Four Wheeler Trails
After you have asked your date if they want to go on an adventure, it’s time to start getting ready for the day.
Think about how long you want to be out on the trails.
During the summer, we offer half and full day sessions, so you can choose between three or seven hour tours. For a date with someone you aren’t very familiar with yet, we recommend the half day session. For a long-time significant other, make a whole day of it!
For half day tours, we offer three different times:
- 8am – 12pm
- 11:30am – 3:30pm
- 3pm- 7pm
Again, we recommend you shake it up a bit and take a day trip. If you are an early riser and enjoy the morning sun, the 8am session is a beautiful ride. If you or your date prefer to sleep in, schedule the 11:30am session. You don’t want to be tired and cranky for your adventure.
Don’t forget snacks or lunch.
A picnic lunch in the Rocky Mountains is a great way to break up the time you spend adventuring. If you are planning on going to lunch before or after, think about bringing snacks instead. In addition, bring lots of water. Remember you’re at a high altitude and you want to be feeling your best. Great picnic foods or snacks include:
- Granola Bars
- Dried Fruit
- Sandwiches
- Beef Jerky
- Popcorn
- Peanuts or Almonds
Consider whether you want to ride together or separate.
We have four wheelers from a one person ATV all the way up to a six person UTV. If you want to have fun together without feeling the pressure of talking for the entire three hours, or if you both like driving and being in control, two one person ATVs are the way to go. If you would rather drive your date or have them drive you, choose a two person UTV.
Think about which day you want to spend together.
